Is it me, my garden or the fact that I live in "Brigadoon"? Nature Watch is saying autumn has slipped about 8 days.
I have lived here for thirty years.
I remember my children starting school with heaps of fallen leaves everywhere and conkers readily available on day1. Looking over the last three years my guess is that in my time zone we are at least two weeks later than we were in 1980.
Wacha think? Will the pumpkins be ready?
P.S. are garden centres etc around you still selling snowdrop bulbs [bit late for sure] I want to make an equinoctial planter for my daughter - A ceramic pot containing a Japanese Acer and snowdrops.

Good idea putting an acer in a container, that way you will get beautiful autumn colour. Lots of trees are suffering dehydration because the summer has been just TOO wet!! They have not been able to take up any water as the soil is waterlogged still, that is one reason that they are late turning, another is the late season sun. Go to the Pound shops, they have snowdrops.

The seasons are just completely out of sync & plants are not knowing what to do, at the moment it looks like I may get 2 harvest from my maincrop strawberries as they are flowering & starting to bear fruit again, this should not be happening in October
