I can't avoid it any more - Its the call of the wild. Preparation all done - I'm going in to face whatever happened over winter! Wish me luck.

Bummer really. I went to what I use as a shed and found that my brushwood cutter, its hedge cutter attachment and its chain saw attachment have all gone. Checked out the possibilities of senility and forgetfulness but looks as if it has really gone!
Also - a bloody big bracket fungus on Yggdrasil and a woodpecker hole [nesting size] just below the fungus. I guess I'd better get ready to lose her. She's my 40 foot Ash tree.
But
It was a beautiful day = Spring sprung on Saturday I'd say. and Yes Rhiannon - the strimmer is only property - I survived!

Hope it's not the end for her! I've looked at the state of my jungle and left it for a while..........

Well the grass needs to be cut and the strawberry plants have taken over. Out plans for this year are to try and grow a number of flowers and a few veg from seed. We have sunflowers, peas, and a variety of flowers to try a hand at. Did alright lastyear with runner beans so as long as we plant what the squirrel in the back doesnt like we should be ok.

If you plant the squirrel I'm sure he wouldn't like that
