When we get around to moving the garden around, Martin's scrap is going to the western side of the garden, and I'm going to be putting some pots and containers in on the eastern side, so they will have sun from late morning through to the evening.
My plans are: potatoes, cauliflowers, lettuce, tomatoes, courgettes, aubergines and beans. I did make a list of what we were likely to eat in a year and worked from that, so I will only be planting 3 cauliflowers but about one tonne of tomatoes!
In that case try a heavy cropping tomato such as 'Gardeners Delight', small almost cherry tomatoes but fantastic taste perfect for making up into tomato sauce for pasta and freezing. I'll be growing some this year again. I want to grow some potatoes, broccoli and herbs but I will have to manage my time a lot better than I did last year! I lost most of my plants as I left them too long in their seed trays and they went all leggy and useless!!
