After all there is no such thing as a wild cow, Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh I missed a trick here. What about bison? And take a look on youtube for "The Battle of Serengeti" I'd say those were pretty wild cattle. I've certainly never seen anything like it! And going back to earlier in the month - are there any wild Yak?

It's the belches from artificially bred cows (and sheep) which are the main problem with climate change.
Why not stop artificially breeding sheep and cows etc. and allow natural regeneration of trees and wild grazing and predator animals? Then the land might have a chance of returning to something like the ecological balance it had before humans over-ran it. We can farm trees and other perennial or low impact crops, like hemp, for fruit, nuts, fuel, fibre, building materials etc. where we can't farm vegetables and cereals. That would leave more land for other animal and plant species, cut our greenhouse gas emissions, stimulate sustainable rural enterprises, provide nutritious and exciting plant-based food for humans etc.
Phil, that West Midlands Festival sounded great - do you think there will be another one this year? ;-)
