1pt Soya milk 3tbsp soft light brown sugar 2tsp vanilla extract (not essence) 4tbsp cornflour a little water
Mix the cornflour & water & keep it close to hand as you need to keep stirring this sauce so it is best to do this first unleess you have a kitchen hand to do it whilst you are cooking (thanks Nina). Heat the soya milk & add sugar not letting the milk boil gently stirring it, reduce heat just before it boils & add vanilla extract keep gently stirring it, add cornflour & water mix & stir until it has thickened to an emulsion paint thickness. This tastes like custard but is a creamy colour instead of yellow & goes well with the vegan version of chocolate concrete.
