I wrote thease for my boyfriend over valantinesday I told him I dident want to go out I wanted to have him cook me a meal as ive never had any one cook me a meal and im an ex chef!
So thease are all cheap good decent harty veggie meals( althought can be supplimented with meat, written for hopeless cooks.
BTW my boyfriend made a pasta bake with chick peas butter beans and a jar of home pride :s
Vegetarian korma
Coconut milk (available dried in a box, in a tin.. .or a coconut but it’s a bit wasteful)
2 Onions (medium chop)
Ginger powder
2 cloves of garlic (or garlic paste)
coriander
Cumin powder
Chilli powder
Vegetable oil
Tomato paste
Vegetable oxo
Lemon
4 Potatoes (or 8 new potatoes)
Peas ( or sweet corn)
Spinach
First prepare the spinach
Melt a knob of butter in to a frying pan
Fry spinach till reduced Add plenty of pepper whilst frying Put in to a bag or box and refrigerate, Save the juices and liquids that have came out in cooking in a jug
Peel and dice potatoes in to 8 cm boil for 10 min’s un less new potatoes then just steam for 30 mins
Add 3 1/2 table spoons of Vegetable oil to an un washed spinach pan boil heat on medium until hot, Fry onions gently till clear then add a tea spoon of Garlic and a table spoon of tomato paste and mix well with a wooden or plastic spoon
Then add a teaspoon of ginger powder
Then add a teaspoon of Chilli powder.
Then add a teaspoon of Cumin powder
Cook out for three minuets stirring constantly this should make a fairly dry paste
Add the spinach and mix well add peas or sweet corn ( if using frozen peas do not boil or unfreeze just fry with paste)
Add potatoes (providing they are not to pours if they are then add right at the end)
Then add 50 ml of coconut milk
Then add spinach juice and 2 oxo’s
Cook out for 3 minuets stirring constantly
Add 3-5 tale spoons of yoghurt add a squirt of lemon
Add coriander for garnish
Serve with Nan or Rice
Burritos
Mince meat ( or quorn)
Vegatable oxo
Chilli powder
Tinned chopped Tomato
Tescos stif fry mixed vegetable bag of cabbage bean sprouts carrots ect £1.50
soy sauce
tortilla wraps
sour crème
rice

Cook rice with mixed vegetables, peas/sweetcorn/herbs spices and onion
Add a spot of vegetable oil to a hot pot add tinned tomatoes and two vegetable oxos and let boil for 2 min’s
Add mince meat or quorn with 2 teaspoons of chilli powder
Add a spot of veg oil to a frying pan and stir fry the vegetables with soy sauce and a little chilli cook so still crisp
Put tortillas in oven on a very low heat for 10-20 minuets separated as not to sticlk together
Combine the vegetables and minced meat in one pan and leave on lowest heat for a minuet
Remove each tortilla from the oven separately filling each with with the mince meat and vegetable filling separately one at a time or the tortillas crisp up out side of the warm environment Wrap and fold them all individually and serve with rice

Vegetables: sweet corn onions peas
Boil Pasta till cooked el dente ( under cooked)
Meld 125 grams of butter in to a pot and add flour a table spoon at a time until it makes a thick paste then add milk a bit at a time, until a pint has been added then add 2 50 grams of cheese add a pinch of chilli powder
Place pasta in to clay or glass baking pot add vegetables and the cheese sauce, sprinkle with cheese and place in oven for a hour making sure the pasta is completely covered in sauce
Serve as is
Stroganoff

Mushrooms
Vegetable oxos
Cumin
Mixed root Vegetables (baby sweet corn , carrots, peas)
( to be served with roast potatoes or mashed and vegetables and gravy)
Slice mushrooms ( a whole medium sized tray)
Pan fry with oil and 1 vegetable oxo ( and a dash of white wine for flavour if available)until soft and cooked
Add a tea spoon of flour until all exsess liquid is absorbed
Add 75 ml of milk
Add a pinch of cumin
Add vegetables
Add a further 75 ml of milk cover the muchrooms with lid and boil for 15 muinets
Serve with gravy and roast or mashed potatoes
Bolognaise
Tomato puree
Garlic puree
Minced meat( quorn)
Peppers
Mushrooms
Pasta
Mixed herbs
Sweet corn
Oil
Boil pasta
Use another pot
Add a spot of oil a teaspoon of garlic and half a tube of tomato paste
Add minced meat and cook out
Add mixed herbs and sweet corn
Pan fry mushrooms with peppers and sweet corn
Add vegetables to minced meat with some mixed herbs
Serve with Garlic bread and parmesan/Italian hard cheese to garnish
Chinese stir fry
Ginger powder
Chilli powder
Mixed vegetables ( Tescos 1:50)
Egg noodles
Soy sauce
Pan fry vegetables keeping them slightly crisp, add a pinch of chilli and ginger
Add a whole bag of egg noodles
Add soy sauce for seasoning
