Alex my 5yr old has got tonsils the size of golfballs and any bug going ends up as tonsillitis. He is allergic to penacyllin and the antibiotics he does have are rubbish. The docs have said they will take his tonsils out and i don't want that as he is more likley to suffer from chest infections.
My solution: Rosmary Tea
The herb is a natural antiseptic and shifts the sore throat in about the same time antibiotics would take. It's a bit potenet but add some honey it's goes down a treat.

When I had a sore throat Denise, the herb lady, told me to gargle with tincture of myrrh. Tastes horrible but really soothes the throat. My mum also found it soothed her throat when she was going through chemotherapy.
Of course, before taking any herbs I would recommend speaking to a medically qualified herbalist.

I had my tonsills out in abour 2001 and I barely get any throat problems now, or chest infections. I think the Dr's only take them out as a last resort though. I was told mine were "pretty gammy".
My mum used to make me drink hot lemon and hunny to southe my throat.
