Every Friday morning I sit there in college, drawing or painting and I feel really guilty as I have so much real work to do!! Thanks for the comments, drawing and painting helps to de - stress me!! Anyone can draw or paint, its all a matter of DOING it!! Practice over and over again. Find a picture you like, trace the outline and transfer it to a clean sheet of paper, then try to copy the shading in the original picture, you won't get it right the first time but after some practice you will realise that you are able to work to a standard you're happy with.

There is an artist in all of us bursting to get out. Artistic expression doesn't have to be representational. You can relate your ideas in bold slashes of colour or in crude sculpture. You can use pencil, paper, wood, metal, in fact anything. I always trust to my "feelings"about how a piece of work will develop and let it take its course. Just look at the work of Dali, Barbara Hepworth, Andrew Goldworthy, Georgia O'Keefe, David Nash or Damien Hirst to see what I mean. Art can be the way you live your life even. Gwenifer, don't feel guilty about the other things you might have to do. You have a wonderful talent. Your work is excellent!

You need to sign up to Photobucket, they're free picture hosters. Then follow the instructions to upload your photos from your computer. Log in to the forum, open a reply box.
Go to Photobucket, click the tick boxes of the pictures you want to post and click 'generate URL codes' , there will be several boxes on the screen with URL's, chose the one for posting thumbnails in forums, (it's clearly labelled), click to highlight then hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard, press (letter) c (for copy) then back to the reply box on the forum and hold down Ctrl and press (letter) v to paste. It will look weird as you won't see the thumbnails till you post your reply, but the pictures will be there. If you get stuck PM me and I'll PM you my phone number and I can talk you through it over the phone.
