OK, my next grand experiment (or disaster, but let's stick with the positive folks) is to dry some of the sage in my back yard to create my own smudging sticks in the long run Anyone been down this road before and know how to avoid the potholes? White Coyote ;D Feeling like he's aged 8 again and about to jump into the go-kart at the top of the hill

Got an airing cupboard? Tie bunches of sage together with natural (not the plastic stuff) string, hang in airing cupboard or other warm dark place where they won't be disturbed.

If you're in a rush then a very low oven with the door open, or put them on the parcel shelf of a car and leave in the sun.
Forced drying tends to make herbs more brittle.
It might be an idea to tie the bundles together for smudging before the leaves get too brittle, but not so early that the inner leaves don't dry properly.

Thank you both.
I've got an airing cupboard, so I'll try the patient method.
