It's a diuretic, which means it gets rid of excess water in your body, that's why it has a reputation for making you wet the bed. Its also a bllod cleanser and good for your liver, so I guess a cup of dandelion coffee might be good for a hangover.

The folk name for Dandelion is Piss-A-Bed.
It's a good excuse next time anyone goes on a bender and relieves themselves in the wardrobe - "sorry about last night luv, it must've been all that dandelion coffee!"

we made our own and it tasted just like coffee. Give it a try, we just slowley baked the roots and ground them down, and used it like filter coffee.
Gotta be betta than the processed crap.

Dandelion is probably less diuretic than coffee, you are actualy supposed to drink a glass of water for every cup of coffee you drink.

I haven't had it in Coffee, although I have had a lot of Dandelion and Burdoch herbal tea.
I agree with Liz about it being good for the liver, as I suffer from Gilbert's syndrome (a mild condition which means my liver runs at about 95% efficiency compared to the general population).
A herbalist I know on the Isle of Wight prescribed the Dandelion and Burdoch to me, and it's certainly done some good.

White Coyote ;D

Burdock is now being tested as a major drug to help cure certain types of cancer.
