my favourite is homemade apple pie for samhain, the ones you buy never have enough filling, it was enjoyed by all.
Sam put the pumpkins to good use, the pumpkin chutney was delicious (see ealier thread for recipe). Ihave to say though the pumpkin soup left Ian spechless.

Seeing as my mum and also my future mum-in-law make the best apple pie in the world (officially!) then I'm not even going to try and live up to their standards on that one.
My pagan food of choice is Spaghetti Pomodoro (that's spaghetti with a simple tomato sauce), a nice chianti, and preferably, somewhere suitable to share it with friends and family.

Pasta with beech-smoked tofu, home-made tomato sauce and dressed with fresh tarragon, balsamic vinegar and black pepper. A lump of fresh French bread. Washed down with a modest bucket of cab-sav.
And for afters, one of those gorgeous Tunnock’s Caramel Bars sneakily lifted from my lad’s school lunch box.

Tofu is wonderful stuff. OK, it has the texture of a breast implant and tastes of whatever you've soaked it in.
But if you marinate it in something that actually has some flavour, then cut it into cubes and roast it in the oven (not for too long), it really is rather nice.
I admit it is an acquired taste, but for someone like me, who smells of the blood of destitute butchers' children, then there has to be something in place of meat.
