Having just driven down a road I came to a police taped off part due to a child haven being knocked off they bike (from what I could see), anyway I new of a way around it (as there was no alternative route being given by the police) so I drove around the accident in order to carry on with my journey, anyway I drove around the route which I thought would take me round the closed off part only to find that where it brought me out was within the taped off area, but some 200 yards further up the road and about 20 yards from where the police had taped off the road from the other end from where I started (if that makes any sense at all).
Anyway the police officer who was stood there ran upto the car and started shouting turn around, turn around, so I simply asked him why I was unable to drive the 20 yards down the road to where I wanted to go (this was I remind everyone, away from where the accident was), instead of simply telling me why I couldn't do this he just kept on shouting, turn around and go back, now I was thinking why does respect to the general public not apply in the same way as respect to that officer would apply, all i wanted was an explanation quite simple, but the way he was shouting and starind at me, it was as though he would have rather arrested me than explain the situation to me, it was as though because he was wearing the uniform he could command me without explanation, and maybe he can do that lawfully, but come on no wonder people have lost the resect for the police when they cannot simply talk to you, it wasn't as if I was trying to commit a bloody crime, maybe I should have, he would probably have let me through with a bloody police escort then. The way i see it is that children have to be taught repect, but how can they be taught it when the adults dont understand and show respect thewmselves.
