Why oh why does it take a dozen cars full of armed police, 8 motorcycles and two Range rovers, that so obviously weren't part of the convey, to get a bloody royal away from a hospital?
What am I talking about? Not sure myself most of the time but....
Went to visit my father in the Q.E hospital today only to find out that his royal poxyness, Prince Charles is paying a visit, so in order for them to get all the cavalcade parked up they decide to block off the disabled parking spaces, making people who could literally not walk be dragged to the dialysis department, and the worse part of the whole bloody thing was that the only wards that he was there to visit were the military wards, does the rest of the hospital and the rest of the patients not bloody well exist, I'm sorry I support our troops in whatever it is they are sent to do, but they get the best treatment when they are injured (not for one minute saying this is wrong, debateable maybe!) but come on there are also other patients who it may do the world of good to get a ward visit from someone like that, and before anyone goes on about the extra security that is needed I do appreciate this but this today was a piss take, they blocked the whole road off but I was standing not 5 ft from him and there were cars parked right next to where he was standing, so if anyone wanted to get at him it would not have been hard at all.
And I suppose he commented on the way out about how 'lovely and quite the roads are around here', for those who know Selly Oak at 4 o'clock in the afternoon, of course they were bloody quiet, they had blocked them all off for you, you t##t.
Rant over
