What a complete load of arseholes both Birmingham city council and Worcester city council turn out to be, it seems that we, along with who knows how many other people have been BANNED from using our local council tip, and why? Because it is over the county boundary and into Worcestershire, we live about 1 mile from this said council tip that we are not allowed to use because it is for the people of Worcestershire, the closest main group of people that can use it are in Bromsgrove some 3 miles away, so now we are expected to travel about 5 miles away to use the closest tip that comes under Birmingham city council, hooray for bloody red tape.
So, as Pagans trying our best to recycle and save this precious earth of ours we now have to drive 4 miles extra to use that tip in order to recyle our bits of recycleable materials, yes the council do collect paper (WOW!) and yes there are recycling bins at the local supermarkets but they again only do paper, bottles, clothes and shoes, now the most recycleable material that we get is plastic but do any of them have a 'plastics' bin? No. So to be able to do our bit we have to put a bigger footstep onto the earth with the use of car emissions to go the extra distance.
And since the decission was made to stop Birmingham tenants from using the tip the amount of rubbish that has been 'fly tipped' has gone up through the roof, it is all over the place. I wrote to Worcestershire council explaining the facts to them and the response that i received was the usual tripe about paying council taxes to different councils, i dont give a toss who i pay my council tax to, the fact that i pay it should be enough, one of the reasons given in the reply was that nearly 50% of the rubbish collected at the tip was from Birmingham people, how the hell they know this i will never know but, you can just see it in a few years time, 'local council tip closed, with the loss of ? jobs' because there was a lack of people using it, where do those people take their rubbish to then?
Going to go take a lay down now and get down off my soap box, but i am still bloody annoyed at stupid bureaucracy and red tape, and they expect me to go and vote for these people!!!!
