Gay Pride 29th May

Hi gang just a heads up!

The fountain moot will be marching in Gay pride as an out pagan group. To be visable as pagans we will be printing t-shirts and making a banner but the pride organising group tell us that other groups will be having mini floats, its suggested we make a Greenman!

We could really do with a hand (or two), the pride organisation group will be providing all the materials and helping us but more hands make light work. We are meeting at the Fountain on Tuesday 11th at 6pm to go to the workshop to make all this if you can spare us some time it would be great.

It would also be good if the pagan group on Pride was bigger than the lesbian and gay Christian movement!! so anyone up for a party!!

heads up people the workshop is tomorrow tueday 11th may, meeting at 6pm at the fountain. the main job is making the green man . never done one before so could use lots of help.

Sorry I cant be there to help guys.
I did once make a Chinise Dragon for 40 Kids to get under. now that was something that went down a storm.

My advice would be to build the basic shape out of cardboard boxes. cover erection with chicken wire tied seculy in place. Wrap chicken wire in sheets of news paper pated before hand with wall paper paste. build up layers of paper, in THIN coats and dry between aplications.
Blow up large balloon and do the same paper aplication to that. this will form the head.

when dry paint flesh pink.. then stick leaves cut out of green fabric any place you wish to cover the Green Mans modesty and Hay Presto... one green man ready to March at Pride.

A hot glue gun and a staple gun will be your best friend.

don't forget to use guy ropes to secure the Green man to the bace or he will keep on trying to get off the float and attack the Gay Christian float. .
