I am looking for some music to play in the background while I meditate. Does any one on PA UK have any favourite bits that work for them? I’m using Mozart and Pacabell at this moment in time.
A bit of drums and percussion music would also be good to find. Something to get the energy going. Any suggestions folks?

ps. making my own music could be a problem as I can't carry a tune in a bucket ;D the best result I ever got was with a recorder at school. if it has strings to tune up its a no way situation and I cant for the life of me read music. Before my voice broke, if I knew the tune Icould sing along. now Idoubt I could even do that well ;D

I was told an interesting meditation once, using a drum, to listen to the silence in between the beats. It fascinates me how music can affect us so much.
I prefer silence for rituals if indoors, and of course, outdoors, nature provides her own symphony.

It sounds like it is more a trance state you are looking for rather than meditation as I have come to understand it. I have some useful meditation information within my community which you will find linked off my profile which hopefully you'll find of use.
